Maggy never felt at ease in her former job. Her boss was always on her case, the children never gave her any peace at home and she was first becoming depressed. Although her husband noticed her state, he though it would pass after a while. He tried taking the kids out for walks anytime he saw her start to act up. But the problem never improved. The moment she set foot at work, the whole day was spoilt. Maggy claimed her boss never understood hr busy schedule due to her young family and therefore she overworked her. At long last, she resigned and felt so much better. That however, was on the social part. The financial sector did not improve at all. The bills just kept coming and hr husband’s money was not enough. She was hoping to get some unemployment benefits after resignation but that was not happening. When she consulted the job centre which had earlier on helped her to find her current job, they told her that she was not eligible for any benefits. According to unemployment benefits voluntary resignation, the person would not be compensated because it ws against what the benefit was trying to achieve in giving money to those who could not support themselves because of conditions outside of their doing. She was told that if she had quit her job due to say harassment of any kind whether sexual or not, she could have been compensated. But since she had quit because she had been stressed because of the many conditions coming against her, they could not assist her. She did not have a solid enough reason to make them assist her. Maggy felt as if she had just landed on the fire from the frying pan. She did not want to go back to her former job, yet she felt compeled to go back for the sake of her children and husband.
